Vehicle Story

This 44k-original-mile 1978 Chevrolet C10 pickup was purchased new by the seller's uncle from Leson Chevrolet in Harvey, Louisiana, and passed to the seller six months ago. The long-bed with Bonanza trim is powered by a matching-numbers 305ci V8 paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. Finished in two-tone green over a green interior, this C10 is now offered with the original owner’s manual, warranty booklet, service records, spare keys, original license plates, and a clear Louisiana title in the seller’s name.

This regular cab pickup has an 8' bed and is reported to retain its original two-tone green paint.is While the truck has been garage-kept since new, the seller reports and photos show areas of rust on the roof and the bottom of the passenger-side door, as well as some age-related patina. A whitewall spare tire is mounted within the bed.

Factory 15” steel wheels with polished covers are wrapped in older tires that have tread remaining but are showing some cracks in the sidewalls.

The interior is trimmed in all green, with a cloth bench seat and matching vinyl door panels, dash, and carpet. A placard at the passenger side of the dash denotes the pickup’s Bonanza trim, and there is a locking glove compartment.

Instrumentation is framed by a 2-spoke steering wheel and consists of a 100-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and gauges for voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The 5-digit mechanical odometer shows approximately 44k miles, which is a true and accurate reading per the seller.

The matching-numbers 305ci V8 is mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission and reported to have been consistently maintained over the years. A small oil leak is reported to have developed.

The sale includes an owner’s manual, warranty booklet, service records, spare keys, and the original license plates.

@CKC – The mileage is mentioned as 44,000 original miles. Can this be verified/proved? ...

This truck is 95% original so if you are looking for something that has been unalter from the time of purchase this may be for you. I have the original bill of sale and a copy of the original title from when my uncle purchased it. The mileage is low because he only used it on weekends to go to the grocery store and the hardware store.

I have the service records and on them is mentioned the mileage at the time the service was done so there is a time line going back 20+ years that proves the mileage is accurate.
