This 1979 Lincoln Continental Mark V is an original 25k-mile car with factory-optioned sliding glass moonroof, dual cloth bench seats, and Diamond Blue exterior finish. It is powered by a 400ci V8 paired with a C6 3-speed automatic transmission. Presented in unrestored and original condition, this Mark V is now offered by the selling dealer on a clean New Jersey title.
The car is finished in optional Diamond Blue Metallic with contrasting blue pine stripes and a Valino Grain Landau roof with rear opera windows. Protective trim runs the length on the lower body and polished moldings are featured on the wheel wells. Retractable headlamp doors are equipped next to vertical clear marker lamps flanking the front end, along with a chrome waterfall grille and hood ornament. The rear has a signature Mark V faux continental kit appearance with dual reflectors alongside. Additional features include a factory power glass sliding moonroof and heated side mirrors. Factory 15” turbine wheels are fitted to whitewall tires on all four corners. The car is equipped with power steering and power disc brakes.
The interior is fitted with dark blue carpeting and blue cloth bench seats, and the front seat is 6-way power-adjustable with dual fold-down center armrests. Woodgrain accents are featured throughout the dash and door panels. Factory features include a distance to empty indicator, interior light group, air conditioning, power windows, power locks, and power mirrors. Cruise control and a tilt steering wheel are also equipped.
Instrumentation is framed by a two-spoke steering wheel with woodgrain accents and includes an 80-mph speedometer, a Cartier clock, and a fuel gauge. The car also has an outside temperature gauge. The 5-digit odometer reads 25k miles, which are original to the vehicle.
The 400ci Cleveland V8 is original to the vehicle and in completely stock configuration. Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a C6 3-speed automatic transmission with a column-mounted shift lever and a 2.47 conventional rear axle.
