This 1971 Oldsmobile Cutlass is presented as a 59,169-original-mile sports coupe that was subject to an inside-and-out restoration and is powered by a Rocket 350ci V8 paired with a TH350 3-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a dual exhaust system, color-keyed wheels, accent striping, and chrome brightwork. Finished in Porsche red over a black vinyl interior, this third-generation Cutlass is now offered with receipts, awards, and a clear Illinois title in the seller’s name.
The 1968-72 Cutlass models rode on General Motors’ A-body platform and were available in body styles ranging from coupes, sedans, hardtops, convertibles, and station wagons. In 1971, styling changes brought about revisions to the hood, grille, and front and rear lighting. This Cutlass was restored and repainted in a Porsche red hue with a black accent stripe on the hood and trunk, complemented by good-condition brightwork for the grille, headlight bezels, bumpers, and other exterior trim. Dual polished exhaust outlets are mounted beneath the corners of the rear bumper.
Color-matched 14” steel wheels with polished trim rings are wrapped in tires with good tread life remaining.
The interior is outfitted with reupholstered black vinyl bench seats both front and rear, along with matching lap belts, door panels, dashboard, and carpeting. The door panels and dash are trimmed in faux woodgrain, and although the vehicle has air conditioning, it is not currently functional due to an inoperative compressor per the seller. The trunk contains a matching full-size spare wheel and Firestone tire.
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 59,169 miles, which per the seller is an accurate and original reading.
The 350ci Rocket V8 is housed within a matte black engine bay. Power is channeled to the rear wheels via a 3-speed TH350 automatic transmission and a column-mounted shift lever.
