Vehicle Story

This 1963 Chevrolet Chevy II Nova SS is presented as a second-year convertible in custom Sky Blue Metallic that receives power from a newer 383ci V8 backed by a replacement TH700R4 4-speed automatic transmission. Coming from recent 15-year ownership, this Nova has reportedly undergone structural reconditioning and rides on a TCI front clip as well as a performance coilover suspension all the way around. Interior appointments have also been added including an Alpine stereo, a tilt-adjustable steering column, and aftermarket gauges. Capped by a black cloth retractable top over a reupholstered black vinyl interior, this second-year Nova is now offered with convertible top boot and clear Oregon title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in blue and the seller notes the passenger side door along with touchup on the passenger side near the gas cap.

Aluminum five-spoke wheels have been added, as well as a power disc brake setup at all four corners. Suspension architecture is comprised of a TCI front clip, and the ride height has been modified via a coilover suspension system.

The interior is fitted with reupholstered fold-forward black vinyl bucket seats and matching door panels, dash, and carpeting. Cabin amenities include a tilt-adjustable steering column, Quick Silver shift knob, Bowtie-branded rubber floor mats, wing windows, and a newer four-spoke SS-branded steering wheel. An Alpine AM/FM/CD head unit is installed in a custom enclosure below the dash, having been wired to dual round speakers in each door panel.

Instrumentation is delivered by way of replacement AutoMeter gauges in an aluminum bezel showing a 160-mph speedometer, an 8k-rpm tachometer, and fuel level. Three additional aftermarket gauges at the center of the dash offer readouts for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. The five-digit mechanical odometer reads 58k miles, although true overall mileage on the chassis is unknown.

The replacement 383ci V8 has reportedly accrued fewer than 10k miles since installation, having been upgraded with an aluminum radiator and a chrome-finished K&N air cleaner. According to the seller, a mechanical service was performed within the last year. Power is directed to the rear wheels via a replacement TH700R4 4-speed automatic transmission with a floor-mounted shift lever.

The vehicle features a 2.5" crossover MagnaFlow exhaust. Photos showing the underside are available in the carousel.

The sale includes a snap-on black vinyl boot for the convertible top.

I like your car, but the only thing that turns me off is the engine compartment, You have all the right stuff in there but need washing this will make your bids much higher. That's one of the most important things I look for and I am sure I am not the only person that judges cars that way. I thought I would try to help you with your sale. otherwise, you have a good one on your hand

@broncoorscout – Why is the seller not answering questions? ...

Hi broncoorscout, the seller is having technical difficulties with his comment posting. The seller states that the engine is a GM ZZ383 and was brand new from GM and installed one year before he purchased the vehicle. He has owned the vehicle for 16 years.
