Vehicle Story

This 1991 Chevrolet Corvette is a 21k-mile, garage-kept convertible powered by a 5.7-liter V8 paired with a 4-speed automatic transmission. It was originally sold in Omaha, Nebraska in September 1991, and remained in that region until being relocated to Nevada in 2014. The seller purchased the car six and a half years ago and has added approximately 1,300 miles. Finished in white over a red leather interior, this C4 Corvette is now offered with a clean CARFAX report, the original window sticker and build sheet, owner's books, a car cover, and a clear Nevada title in the seller’s name.

The body wears its original coat of white paint and exterior finishes are reported to be free of nicks or other damage per the seller. The car retains its signature C4 pop-up headlights, vented front fenders, quad taillamps, and dual exhaust outlets, and an accessory luggage rack is fitted to the trunk lid. The seller reports that the retractable cloth top is in good condition.

Factory 17” alloy wheels are wrapped in new 275/40 tires. Braking is handled by anti-lock disc brakes.

The interior is fitted with power-operated red leather bucket seats, matching door panels, dash, and carpet, and a black center console. Amenities include power windows, locks, and mirrors, cruise control, a factory alarm, and automatic climate control. The audio system is the original Bose/Delco AM/FM cassette head unit which is wired to the power antenna.

Instrumentation is framed by a leather-wrapped steering wheel and consists of a digital speedometer, a 6k tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. The digital odometer shows approximately 21,284 miles, which the seller asserts is true and accurate.

The 5.7-liter V8 is original to the vehicle and was factory-rated at 245 horsepower and 345 lb-ft of torque when new. The battery was replaced recently, and the seller states that all fluids were refreshed within the last 1,500 miles. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a 4-speed automatic transmission and a console-mounted shift lever.

The CARFAX report shows no history of accidents or damage and a passing Nevada state emissions inspection in September 2020. The sale includes a car cover, 2 sets of keys, the original owner’s manual, the window sticker, and a build sheet.

@Totodua – Hello, does the luggage rack can be removed without making damage to the car ? ...

Not sure about removing luggage rack. Why would you want to do this anyway. This 1991 is an exact replica of the 1992 1,000,000,000 Corvette manufactured which also has the luggage rack on it.

@blt – Why do you want to sell the vette? ...

Gonna be 79 this July. Don't drive it much any more. Just a waste sitting in the garage. Would like to see it go to someone who could enjoy it more. Norman W

@bpala – Great looking Vette! Does it need anything i.e., does the AC blow cold, all gauges work, weatherstrip pliable or brittle, any noises in the drivetrain or suspension, when were tires replaced? Is it roadworthy for a trip to Colorado? I’m partial to C4s and this looks like a great example. GLWTA! ...

To GLWTA!" Answering your questions 1) Car needs nothing, 2) AC works fine, blows cold, 3) all gauges function properly 4) all weather stripping is pliable and soft 5) no noises in the drive train or suspension 6) tries are brand new, replaced in 2014 with approximately 1000 miles on them. 7) Car is roadworthy, would not hesitate to drive it to Colorado. Car was inspected by Corvette shop and found nothing wrong and stated this car has never seen snow. Car looks almost brand new. If you have any further question please feel free to contact me.
