Vehicle Story

This 1967 Oldsmobile Toronado is an all-original, 33k-mile, low-production, highly-optioned example powered by its matching-numbers 425ci V8 paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. The car is factory-equipped with bucket seats, air conditioning, power windows, a power seat, a vinyl roof, and a dual exhaust system. Finished in Saffron over a two-tone dark gray and black vinyl interior, this first-generation Toronado comes without a console and is offered from Arizona with extensive documentation and a clear Montana title in the seller’s name.

The body is finished in its original Saffron paint with a black vinyl roof, pop-up quad headlights, flared wheel arches, a tapered rear end with slim taillamps, extensive chrome brightwork, and dual exhaust. Photos show two areas where very minor damage was incurred.

Factory 15” steel wheels wear factory wheel covers and are wrapped in Super Ride 235/75 whitewall tires. Handling is managed by factory-installed power brakes and power steering. One of the wheel covers is reported to have been replaced.

The interior is trimmed in its original two-tone black and dark gray vinyl with matching door panels, headliner, and dash. Standard features include bucket seats, a power-operated driver's seat, air conditioning, power windows, and a 5-button transistor AM/FM radio. A full-size spare and jack tools are housed in the trunk, and the car came from the factory without a console.

Instrumentation is framed by a black 2-spoke steering wheel and consists of a 135-mph rolling speedometer, gauges for fuel level, voltage, coolant temperature, and a warning lamp for oil pressure. An analog clock is fitted above the radio, and the 5-digit mechanical odometer shows approximately 33k miles. Mileage is original and accurate per the seller.

The 425ci "Rocket V8" is reported to be original to the vehicle and was factory-rated at 385 horsepower and 480 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is transferred to the front wheels via a 3-speed TH-425 automatic transmission.

Additional photos showing the condition of the underside are available in the gallery.

The sale includes extensive documentation and the Protect-O-Plate.

Have to laugh at Andy's comment stating that bucket seats are better suited for this flat floor car! Really?

@Steve940 – Has this vehicle ever been in an accident? Any damage other than that noted in description? Why is it being advertised by a wrecking yard? ...

No idea about the salvage yard? I am a private party, my dad bought this car a year ago but unfortunately passed away in Feb. No accidents and the paint is 100% original along with the rest of the car. Huge stack of documentation.

@SPEED – Does the car RUN & DRIVE without any issues ? Has the A/C been retrofit to R 134 ? IF I am the Winning Bidder what would I have to spend on the car to make it a Daily Driver in CA ? ...

Yes the car runs beautifully. The AC has not been changed over and it blows "cool" but will probably need a recharge. Other than bleeding the brakes the car would be a great daily driver however because of the originality and extremely low miles my dad only drove it maybe once a month or less.
