396-POWERED 1967 CHEVROLET CHEVELLE MALIBU SPORT COUPE 4-SPEED

OVERVIEW

This 1967 Chevrolet Chevelle Malibu Sport Coupe is powered by a 396cid big-block V8 backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Features include power steering, an AM/FM/cassette radio, bucket seats, a center console, a trunk-mounted battery and fuel tank, and new Wilwood power disc brakes. Finished in white over a black vinyl interior, this Chevelle comes from the selling dealer with build documentation and photos and a clear title.

EXTERIOR – FEATURES

The selling dealer states that no rust is present and the body seems to have had all body panels, the trunk floor, and the chrome bumpers replaced. As part of the build process, the color was changed from Madeira Maroon (code N) to white. Features include a big-block hood, SS emblems, rocker and wheel well trim, and a black rear body panel. EXTERIOR - WHEELS AND TIRES

A set of 18-inch Ridler chrome wheels is wrapped in 235/40 front and 275/40 rear Nitto NT555 G2 radial tires.

INTERIOR – FEATURES

The cabin is furnished with black vinyl front bucket seats and a matching rear seat surrounded by black vinyl door panels and trim. Features include manual windows, power steering, a center console-mounted manual transmission shifter, a new reverse light switch, a relocated trunk-mounted battery and power cable, new pedal rubber, new floor mats, a new shifter knob, and an AM/FM/cassette radio. The selling dealer states that the turn signal will not cancel automatically and paint scratches are present on the lower dash panel and steering column. 

INTERIOR – GAUGES

A set of Dakota Digital analog gauges that includes a 160-mph speedometer, an 8,000-rpm tachometer, and instruments for the fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage are located ahead of the driver. The true mileage on this vehicle is unknown.

ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION

The original six-cylinder engine has been replaced with a 396cid V8, which is backed by a four-speed manual transmission. Engine bay features include aluminum Edelbrock valve covers, an aluminum intake manifold, an electronic ignition, repaired and relocated wiring, and a chrome Edelbrock air cleaner housing. The selling dealer states that in 2023, the coolant, power steering fluid, transmission gear lube, rear differential lube, and brake fluid was replaced. A new distributor cap, rotor, wires, and spark plugs were installed the same year.

UNDERCARRIAGE

This Chevelle is equipped with an independent front suspension, a new steering linkage, and a 10-bolt solid rear drive axle with Positraction. Braking is provided by a new Wilwood power disc braking system with a new master cylinder and brake hoses. A dual exhaust system exits behind the rear tires. The selling dealer states that the rear axles and bearings were replaced in March 2023. Additionally, new body mounts have been installed.
