This 1977 Mercedes-Benz 450SL was acquired by the seller's grandmother from the original owner and remained in her possession until she gifted it to the seller in 2018. The car is finished in white over tan leather and is was sitting covered in a garage prior to being gifted two years ago. Power is provided by a 4.5-liter V8 paired with a 3-speed automatic transmission. The tires, battery, and fuel lines have been replaced under current ownership. This R107 is offered with two tops, service records, and a clear Nevada title.
Originally finished in dark brown from the factory, the exterior was repainted white under prior ownership. A matching hard top is currently fitted, and a soft top will also go with the car.
Chrome fender flares have been added, and these frame factory 14" bottlecap wheels. Photos showing the condition of the exterior are provided in the gallery, and the video below shows that the passenger-side fog light is out.
Bamboo leather upholstery is paired with a darker shade on the dash, console, and carpets. An older Alpine head unit with a cassette is fitted in place of the factory radio, and window controls are located in the center console below the shift lever.
Instrumentation consists of a central speedometer, flanked by a tachometer and clock to the right, and readouts for fuel, oil pressure, and water temperature to the left. The six-digit odometer shows just over 60k miles, few of which have been added by the seller. It is believed the gauge does not work since the mileage has not changed during the time of her ownership.
A 4.5-liter V8 with Bosch Jetronic fuel injection is mated to a 3-speed automatic transmission. Service records note a transmission and torque converter service, replacement of the battery, fuel lines, shift bushings, and an oil and filter change in June 2018.
The rear brake pads and hoses were replaced and the differential oil was changed in June 2018.
