Vehicle Story
This 1964 Buick Wildcat convertible has spent the majority of its life in Florida and is finished in white over a red vinyl interior. Power comes from a 401ci Nailhead V8 paired with a 2-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a replacement convertible top, power steering and brakes, and air conditioning. Now located in Annandale, Minnesota, this Wildcat is offered by the selling dealer on a clean Minnesota title.
The car is finished white with a recently installed red cloth soft top and has been professionally restored. Both front and rear bumpers are chrome and in good condition, and the car has a full-width, split row taillamp design with the Buick logo at the center. The sides are accented by chrome trim and three spears on the front fenders, and there is a red painted pinstripe along each side. The rear quarter panels wear scripted Wildcat badges.
Factory 15” steel wheels wear full chrome covers, and they are mounted to 225/75 whitewall tires. The car has power steering and power brakes.
The interior is fitted with red carpeting and reupholstered red vinyl bucket seats with a matching full-length center console with aluminum trim. A two-spoke red steering wheel is equipped with the Wildcat insignia at the center. The car is equipped with factory air conditioning, and a factory push-button AM radio is installed in the dash.
Instrumentation includes a 120-mph speedometer, analog clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and volage all housed within an aluminum bezel. The 5-digit odometer reads 42k miles; true mileage is unknown.
The 401ci Nailhead is equipped with a 4-barrel carburetor and Wildcat 445 air cleaner. It resides in a fully restored engine bay with an Optima red top battery and upgrades to the ignition system. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 2-speed automatic transmission with a console-mounted shift lever.
Additional photos showing the underside are available in the gallery.
The sale includes a LeSabre / Wildcat / Electra 225 factory owner’s guide.

Beautiful example! GLWTS!
Coincidence that I was just in conversation with HS friends about our 50th reunion - and it included a discussion of a teacher and his very snazzy big white/red Buick convertible very much like this. My memory fails on what the difference is between the Wildcat and the (in)famous "duce and a quarter" 225? Both convertibles? Or engine optioned?
