Vehicle Story

This 1946 Ford F-1 pickup is a highly customized example that has been with the seller for approximately two months and is reported to have just over 27,000 miles on the refreshed build. Power comes from a modified 350ci small-block Chevrolet V8 paired with a TH350 automatic transmission and 3.23:1 Lincoln-geared Ford nine-inch rear end while additional features include a custom stereo system, custom bucket seats, a new set of wheels and tires, mechanical steering and braking, dual exhaust stacks, a bed-mounted fuel cell, LED headlamps and more. Located in Upton, Massachusetts, the truck is offered with a clean title in the seller's name.

Custom finished in yellow, the truck was repainted while under prior ownership at an unknown date and is accented by a wood-slatted truck bed with a black steel frame, LED headlamps, chrome dual exhaust stacks and wide fender flares. The finish shows some blemishes and signs of cracking and minor surface rust in common areas along with a cracked passenger side window. The hood is included in the sale and attached by way of hood pins but currently does not fit due to the addition of a tunnel ram on top of the engine.

Steering and braking systems are mechanical with recently replaced brakes all around along with a new set of custom chrome American Racing wheels which come fitted with fresh Hankook Ventus H101 tires under wide black fender flares. The Lincoln-geared Ford nine-inch rear end is fitted with 3.23:1 gearing and suspended by leaf springs to match the straight axle front.

The interior is outfitted in body-matching yellow along the door and dash panels contrasted by a set of custom bucket seats fitted with quilted black upholstery over black carpeting. An aftermarket stereo system is equipped in a hidden location along with manually cranked windows, an aftermarket floor-mounted shifter, custom black door panel and headliner upholstery and a Grant steering wheel. The seller notes that the truck is not equipped with air conditioning.

Instrumentation can be found behind a custom Grant GT four-spoke steering wheel and consists of an aftermarket Dolphin gauge set including a 140-mph speedometer and 8k-rpm tachometer. Additional dash-mounted dials for oil pressure, battery voltage, coolant temperature and fuel level are equipped along with a six-digit odometer which read 27,050 miles since installed.

Power is produced by a 350ci small-block Chevrolet V8 paired with a TH350 automatic transmission which was last serviced when purchased by the seller two months ago with a fresh oil change. The engine comes dressed with a chrome air scoop on top of twin Edelbrock four-barrel carburetors and a cast aluminum tunnel ram intake manifold along with chrome Chevrolet-branded valve covers, chrome front accessories, an MSD ignition coil, long tube headers and a custom aluminum radiator with an electric fan.

Additional photos of the underside and the rest of the truck have been made available for viewing in the image gallery.
