This 1941 Hudson Deluxe 4-door sedan has been with the seller since 2017 after a 3-year restoration completed in 2015 while under prior ownership. Power comes from a 175ci inline-6 paired with a 3-speed column-shifted manual transmission and the electricals have been updated to a 12-volt system. Additional equipment includes manual steering, mechanical braking and manual cranking windows. Located in Farmington, Minnesota, the car is offered for sale with restoration documentation, original owner's manual, memorabilia and clear Minnesota title in the seller's name.
Finished in two-tone light green over dark green, the car's exterior features chrome trim pieces and bumpers along with curved front and rear fenders, rear suicide doors and a dual-pane windshield as part of the designer, Betty Thatcher's vision. Restoration work was commissioned by Wild Ricks Restoration in Indiana from 2012 through 2015 which is likely when the exterior was repainted.
Suspension consists of a coil-sprung independent front and solid axle rear on leaf springs while mechanical drum brakes are present on all four wheels along with manual steering. Whitewall tires are fitted over steel wheels finished in body-matching green with chrome hub caps.
The interior is finished in tan cloth upholstery over bench seating and door panels with a matching headliner and carpeting. Dash panels are wooden and complete with stainless trimmings and glass coverings over indicator lighting. Equipment is powered by an updated 12-volt electrical system and includes a climate control system with warmer and cooler options.
Instrumentation is framed by a 2-spoke black and chrome steering wheel and consists of a 100-mph speedometer in tandem with indicator lights for fuel level, coolant temperature, oil pressure, battery voltage and an analog clock. The 5-digit odometer on the dash displays mileage at 55,929.
Power is sent to the rear wheels by a 175ci inline-6 paired with a column-shifted 3-speed manual transmission. The engine bay can be found under a clamshell-style hood opening and appears to be in excellent condition with body-matching paint throughout.
Additional photos of the underside and the rest of the car can be found in the gallery.
Restoration documentation, the original owner's manual and other memorabilia are included in the sale and shown in gallery photos as well.
