Vehicle Story

This 1970 Dodge Challenger hardtop coupe has been with the seller for 7 years and has seen regular maintenance and garage storage. Power comes from a 318ci V8 mated to an automatic transmission and equipment includes power brakes, power steering, seat belts, vinyl roof cover, heater/defroster, and an aftermarket stereo. The car is now offered with a clean title in the seller's name.

Finished in Dark Burnt Orange (K-5) with a black vinyl top, the exterior was given a respray approximately 10 years ago while under prior ownership along with a rust preventative undercoating. The car is described as largely rust-free and the paintwork appears to have remained in good condition except a light 2-inch scratch noted on the bottom of the passenger door.

Power steering and power brakes including front discs are equipped over the 110-inch wheelbase behind stock wheels fitted with the car's original hub caps and a set of thin whitewall tires. The tires are noted to be in good condition and no leaks appear underneath the car.

Body-matching vinyl upholstery covers front bucket and rear bench seating with carpeting, door, and dash panels to match. Note there is a small imperfection on the passenger side seat upholstery which can be observed in the above photo and the radio has been replaced with an aftermarket unit.

Instrumentation is framed by a 3-spoke steering wheel and includes a 120-mph speedometer as well as dials for fuel level, coolant temperature, battery voltage, and oil pressure in place of the factory analog clock. The odometer displays 4,451 miles, however, the seller is not certain of its accuracy.

Power is sent to the rear wheels by a 318ci V8 paired with an automatic transmission and dressed with a set of long tube headers, an Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, and a 4-barrel carburetor in place of the original 2-barrel unit. The seller reports the drivetrain runs great without any notable issues or leaks and that the oil was last changed on March 30th, 2021, and has been changed every 4 months prior.

A matching spare tire can be found in the trunk along with an OE tool kit and additional photos of this 1970 Challenger are viewable in the gallery.

@MustangSammy – Hi - can you be post a couple pictures or a video of the hinge at the hood to fender attachment? Also a video of the dors opening and closing would be helpful as you know the Challenger has large heavy doors that tend to sag. A video b or pictures of the underside would help too if possible- thsnk you! Bill ...

Good morning from AutoHunter, the seller works long hours and wanted me to pass along that by the time he gets home from work it will be too late to take pics/videos but that he wants all the bidders to know that the hood and doors open and close very easy. No issues with the hood , doors or trunk. Thanks for your question and happy bidding.
